Former governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose has ruled out the possibility of becoming a minister under the administration of president Ahmed Tinubu.

While featuring on ‘Politics Today’ on Channels Television on Sunday night, Fayose said he would rather prefer president Tinubu to appoint his son into his cabinet.

“I will never accept any political position from president Tinubu. Any one of us who is above 63 years old doesn’t need any appointment.

“I prefer to put my son forward for any political appointment Tinubu wants to offer me. The future of the young people has already been stolen, and Tinubu must pacify them with appointments to serve under his government.

“40% appointment should be reserved for the old politicians like myself, 30% for women and 30% for the youths,” Fayose stated.

When asked why he decided to support Tinubu against the candidate of his party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Fayose said, “Do you want me to work for a party that suspended me and my son? Do you want me to work for a party that dissolved the state executives because I said it was the turn of the South to produce a president?”.
