Napoli manager Antonio Conte bas refused to pick Victor Osimhen for matches amid uncertainty surrounding his future with the Serie A club.

The 25-year-old forward, who joined Napoli from French side Lille in 2020 for a then-club record fee of €68 million, finds himself in a state of limbo as his future remains uncertain.

Napoli set a release clause of €130 million, a figure that has scared off many potential suitors.

Osimhen’s exclusion from the matchday squad is a clear indication of the turmoil surrounding his transfer situation.

That means, the Super Eagles striker will play no part in their Coppa Italia clash against Modena.
