Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, a senator representing Edo north, has blamed Presidential candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party and the Labour Party, Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi over the ongoing national protests.
The sanator specifically accused the two opposition leaders for instigating Nigerians against the administration of President Bola Tinubu.
Appearing on Channels Television on Saturday, Oshiomhole, also admitted the exorbitant high cost of living in Nigeria.
He said, Ofcourse there is hunger, the economy is bad. We know all these. However, those who lost the last presidential election are behind the current national protests.
“In exercising your right to protest, you must be careful not to complecate the position of the poor.
“I saw poor people’s shops being looted. Are those people the reason why there is inflation in Nigeria?
“The right to protest is legitimate, but you must not turn it to stealing,” he stated.
