Betta Edu, the embattled Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation has denied access to see president Bola Tinubu at the villa, Abuja.
Shortly after Tinubu announced Edu’s suspension, THE PLAINTRUTH gathered that the minister rushed to the presidential villa, but was unable to see the President.
The source within the presidency hinted that Edu was denied access to enter the presidential villa.
“Shortly after the president announced her suspension, she came hoping to meet with Asiwaju Tinubu, but was unable to see him.
“Her vehicle was stopped, the security personnel had to tell her to go back,” one of the presidential sources said.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission had invited the Edu to its headquarters located in Jabi, Abuja over an alleged N585m scandal.
The invitation came less than an hour after President Bola Tinubu announced Edu’s suspension from office through the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale.
