Unspecified number of persons onTuesday were left dead while many injured in a bomb explosion around Old Bodija, off Adeyi area of Ibadan.
Several houses and cars were also destroyed.
A source hinted that those injured had been rushed to different hospitals nearby.
The cause of the incident which occurred about a few minutes after 8 pm on Tuesday, is yet to be ascertained as of press time but a source specifically told THE PLAINTRUTH that it was a bomb blast.
Meanwhile, the Oyo State Government says it is investigating the explosion.
“The Oyo State Government is aware of reports of an explosion in Ibadan. Residents are urged to remain calm as security agencies are investigating this to determine the source and cause of the incident,” the state government said on Tuesday evening
