Contrary to the claims that the spokesperson of President Bola Tinubu, Ajayi Ngelale stepped down from his position, THE PLAINTRUTH can authoritavely report that Ngelale was frustrated out of the office.
Although, Ngelale had said he was stepping aside to deal with medical matters affecting his family.
However, sources within the Presidency told THE PLAINTRUTH on Saturday night that Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga was brains behind Ngelale’s resignation.
Onanuga, a close ally of the president was said to have made Ngelale’s office uncomfortable for him since he (Ngelale) was pronounced as Tinubu’s spokesperson after the 2023 presidential election.
“I can tell you that Ngelale was frustrated out of the office. He had no other choice than to to resign since he was not able to convince president Tinubu.
“Something about president Tinubu is that, you can’t take the love of his people, like Onanuga from him. He loves him so much, and can do anything for him.
“Since the young guy was retained in the Presidency, Bayo Onanuga kept frustrating him, now, to the point of resignation,” one of the sources said.
Mr Ngelale previously served as senior special assistant on public affairs in the office of former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.
