A serving Senator representing the South in the Senate, Jimoh Ibrahim has vowed to pursue his case against Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa who was declared by Usman Ododo-led Committee as flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress.
Reports have it that some powerful politicians within the APC in Abuja have been mounting pressure on the Senator to withdraw the suit he filed at the Federal High Court.
However, Ibrahim told THE PLAINTRUTH on Monday that he had rejected the APC’s proposal to recognise Governor Aiyedatiwa as the party’s candidate for the November 16 Ondo State governorship poll.
The Senator said he would not back down until he gets justice.
He said,” See my brother, i don’t want to mention the names of some powerful politicians who have been begging me to withdraw the case.
“I told them it’s not about me, but about the good people of Ondo state. Nothing is personal, and I have no grudge against anyone.
“I won’t back down until the case gets to the Supreme Court of Nigeria.”
