Kano State governor, Abba,Yusuf says he is ready to join Nigerians to protest against the economic hardship.

Frustrated with growing economic hardships, Nigerians will, on Thursday embark on a q0-day protests nationwide.

Already, security forces have been deployed on major roads in cities, including the capital of Abuja and the country’s largest, Lagos.

The All Progressives Congress administration led by President Bola Tinubu had appealed to protesters to shelve plans for the protests.

Governor Yusuf, while backing the nationwide protest during a stakeholders’ meeting in Kano Government House on Wednesday, described protest as a democratic right of citizens.

He said, “For us, protest is a democratic right of every citizen. I want the protesters to carry out their procession with caution, as some criminal elements plan to hijack the protests.

“If you embark on a peaceful procession, I will receive you, and if you wish, I’ll join you. “
