A Nollywood actress, Chichi Neblett says she is not prepared for marriage at 42 years old.
She said, though she’s currently in a relationship, but has not concluded whether or not to marry.
The actress said she was after building a secure future for herself and her teenage son.
“I’m talking to someone presently, but marriage isn’t on the cards right now. Maybe I won’t even get married because I am old. I’ll be 42 in a few weeks; August 22. My priority now is financial stability and a better life for my son,” she told Saturday Sun.
Beyond her acting and business endeavors, the single mum of one shared a surprising side to her personality.
“I’m actually a very sweet and loving person. But I’ve learned to be cautious because my openness has sometimes led to disrespect. Anyone that gets the opportunity to know me well will find out the true me.
“People shouldn’t also judge me based on my social media posts; I’m a different person offline,” she asserted.
As for her acting career, Neblett admitted to facing challenges.
She said: “I don’t get many acting jobs anymore. The few offers I get often come with unrealistic terms like working for free or just fuel money.
“I’ve reached a point where I value my worth and won’t settle for less. Business is my focus now. I don’t want to be famous and poor.”
