Former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi has charged Nigerians to stop voting for politicians who don’t mean well for the nation.

In a viral video on the social media, Amaechi specifically said he was surprised to see Nigerians still exercising their franchise during voting.

According to the former governor of Rivers State, it is shocking to see Nigerians still voting despite how politicians are mistreating them.

He added,” I’m angry with the citizens. I have said it several times. You can’t see a group of people stealing your money, impoverishing you and you still go out to vote for them.

“Look at what happened in Edo recently; should any politician be campaigning in Edo? People should be angry rather than voting.

“The rate of hunger now is alarming. If people like us can’t afford to buy diesel, what will ordinary Nigerians do,”?.

Reacting on the political crisis in Rivers State, Amaechi said he was not ready to join issues with thugs disguising as politicians.

“I can’t hold any political meeting with a group of thugs disguising as politicians. You can’t see me in any political meeting with thugs, never.

“Anybody who dies for a cause of giving money to thugs won’t make heaven. I want to make heaven, that’s why I can’t give money to thugs to go and kill people,” said Amaechi.
