The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Ltd., NNPCL, has warned the general public seeking for employment in the company to be careful of unscrupulous elements collecting money before giving them jobs.

A statement by the Chief Corporate Communications Officer, NNPCL, Olufemi Soneye said there was no iota of truth in the rumours that the company had employment slots for sale.

The statement reads, “The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Ltd. has called on members of the public, especially jobseekers, to discountenance rumours of employment slots for sale.

“There is no iota of truth in the insinuations that NNPCL has employment slots offer to anyone who wishes to buy. The general public should be becareful of fraudsters who want to take advantage of unsuspecting applicants.

“As a responsible corporate entity, recruitment into the company is a straightforward process and does not involve sale of slots or inducement of any kind.

“Anyone who pays money to anyone for any job in the company does so at his or her own risk.”
