Ogun State governor, Dapo Abiodun has reportedly ordered the Department of State Security (DSS) to arrest and detain the suspended chairman of Ijebu East Local Government Area, Wale Adedayo over allegations of diverting councils’ funds.

Adedayo had accused governor Abiodun of withholding local government funds in the last two years.

The Ogun State Command of the DSS had invited Adedayo.

However, the LG Chairman, was, however detained on Friday after honoring DSS’s invitation.

One of his aides, who spoke on the developments, said the DSS had refused to release his boss.

He said, “ My boss may likely spend the weekend at the DSS office. We got here together and I took his phone and stood outside.

“We have been waiting for him to come out, but to no avail.

“A few minites after they detained my boss, governor Dapo Abiodun came. The governor spent over 30 minutes before he finally came outside.

“Only God knows what is happening to my boss right now, please help us. This is 8:34 pm and he has still not been allowed to come out.”
