Ondo State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Ade Adetimehin, has assured President Bola Tinubu that the party will produce a popular candidate in the upcoming primary.
Adetimehin, while addressing a stakeholder’s meeting with the aspirants of the party in Akure, Ondo state capital, said the President would be happy after the exercise.
He aslo dismissed the fears that the exercise might lead to an internal crisis, saying” We will remain strong and united after the primary election.
“Let me assure President Tinubu that the party will produce a popular candidate that will be accepted by all.”
Adetimehin said the venues of the election had been sent to the National Working Committee accordingly in fulfilment of the party’s constitution.
He, however, said “Let me assure you that the State Working Committee and the State Executive Committee under my leadership will do our utmost to fulfil our responsibilities in spite of any kind of challenges to ensure we provide a level playing ground for a free, fair, credible and smooth primary election.”
