The Special Adviser to Mr. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu on Special duty and Strategy, Doyin Odebowale has accused the deputy governor of Ondo state, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa of trying to kill his boss.

Odebowale, who was speaking on Tuesday edition of “Politics Today” on Channels Television, specifically challenged the deputy governor to stop going from “pillar to post.”

He alleged that the embattled deputy governor had tried to incite the citizens of Ondo state against his boss.

Governor Akeredolu has been absent from the state ever since his return last month from a medical vacation abroad.

His decision to work remotely from Ibadan, Oyo State, has continued to spark controversy within the state.

“Aketi came back in September. Where he used to stay, the Presidential Lodge built for the visiting president at that time Olusegun Obasanjo is a two-bedroom apartment.

“Now, he is back. He cannot occupy that place again. The Old Governor’s Office – the Governor’s Lodge built by the previous administration is now the office of the investment outlet called the ODIPA. That’s the office”, he stated.

Speaking on the rift between governor Akeredolu and his deputy, Odebowale said,” Aketi is surrounded by enemies, even within his family. They have been unfair to him

“As a person who knew Aiyedatiwa in 2012, I will say it categorically that he has not acted well. His own people rejected him, but governor Akeredolu picked him from nowhere to make him his deputy.

“Let Lucky Aiyedatiwa ask himself maybe he has been fair to governor Akeredolu. He held series of meetings against Akeredolu; he expected the governor to die so that he can suceed him.

“I’m Akeredolu’s adviser on Special Duty and Strategy, and I can tell you authoritavely that Aiyedatiwa wanted to kill his boss.”
