Rivers: APC fumes over explosion at party secretariat

The All Progressives Congress, APC has kicked against the explosion at its secretariat in Port Harcourt, Rivers state.

An explosion from a device suspected to be dynamite had rocked the APC secretariat along Aba Road in Port Harcourt in the early hours of the local government election on Saturday with one of the gates of the secretariat pulled down, while buildings inside the office were damaged.

Reacting while fielding questions from newsmen in Port Harcourt, the APC former caretaker committee chairman, Chief Tony Okocha, wondered about the explosion when the election was not taking place at the APC secretariat.

He said, “The point to make or to emphasize is the fact that the APC is under attack in River State, and this attack is very unnecessary and uncalled for.”
