Harris taking California’s 54 electoral votes was expected.
This, has pushed her electoral votes to 179 against the Republican Presidential nominee, Donald Trump who maintains lead of 214.
She hails from San Francisco and the last time a Republican won the state was President George H.W. Bush in 1988.
